Came with a spoon, too. Special!

Thanks to a generous donation from Auntee, we have completed the bottle fund for Pernod Absinthe, or as the Pernod bottle says, Aux Plantes d’Absinthe Supérieure, which if my pidgin French is correct is something like “with the greater wormwood plant.” I believe this is to get around a ban on selling regular old Absinsthe.

When I went to purchase the bottle of Pernod Aux Plantes d’Absinthe Supérieure, I found that the merchant in New York City that I was going to use has folded up shop. So I purchased the bottle locally for a bit more than the $60 I had previously found. I’ll have a review of the Pernod Absinthe shortly.

Meanwhile, we need a new merchant and a new bottle for the fund. I found a new merchant in Brooklyn, Borisal Liquor and Wine, who also ship out of state. I’m thinking for the new bottle, I should probably get Campari, which lists for $26.99. Auntee gave us a bit more than we needed for the Absinthe, so the first 99¢ is on her. Thanks Auntee!
