##Every Bar Should Have##
* Ice, and lots of it
* Something to measure 1 and 2oz
* Something to mix drinks
* A blender
* Sugar
* Lemons and limes
* Seltzer or club soda
* Something to pour drinks into

##Beginner’s Bar##
* Cheap vodka
* Cheap blended whisky
* Premium rum
* Premium blanco or plata tequila
* Premium gin — I recommend Bombay Sapphire
* Triple sec
* Peach schnapps or peach brandy
* Coffee liqueur or cordial
* Red wine — I recommend Bogel Petit Sirah
* White wine
* Premium beer
* Cheap beer
* Wine glasses/beer pint glasses or mugs
* Cola
* Tonic water
* Orange juice

##Hobbyist’s Bar##
In addition to the Beginner’s Bar

  • Premium vodka
  • Premium reposado or añejo tequila
  • Premium Bourbon whisky
  • Coconut rum, dark rum, and/or spiced rum
  • Irish cream
  • Cherry brandy or grenadine
  • Champagne
  • Ginger ale
  • Mint
  • Oranges
  • Q Tonic tonic water — added 2 Oct 2010

    At the hobbyist level you could think about upgrading your beer glasses to properly enjoy your pilsners and your ales.
    At what level do we begin to enjoy our single malt scotch whiskey?
