Coming soon to farmers’ markets: Alcohol
As local wineries and breweries continue to open across the country, they are always looking for new ways to advertise their products. Washington state lawmakers are debating a bill to allow wine- and beer-tastings at farmers’ markets, potentially joining Iowa and Virginia, where such tastings are legal. Other states, like Michigan, are also looking into allowing tastings at farmers’ markets. Cheers to that time-honored thought: if they taste it, they will buy it.
